Wow!  We think our 2017 Summer Jam West festival was the best, yet!  We estimate that we had an attendance of 6000 Hilltop family, friends and neighbors.  Reviews coming in from you list ALL of our bands as your favourites.  You supported our artists, craft artisans, and food trucks, you went home with free Movin’ & Groovin’ tees decorated by your kids, and watched as professional chalk artists created stunning art on the cement in front of our 2016 mural.

Summer Jam West and the Hilltop made the front page of Columbus Dispatch Metro section AND rolled on the Dispatch’s scrolling billboard at Broad and High.  We had an all-star review with Music in Motion, a great podcast with Columbus Something New, and a blog space interviewing Roger J. Williams on City Scene Young Professionals.  The Westside Messenger placed us on their front page, not once, but twice!

What we consider our top accomplishments for the year, are our installation of Brian Marcus’ “Step By Step Up Starez” on Cream & Sugar, and the incredibly screaming orange, 95 foot Movin’ & Groovin’ mural by Roger J. Williams.  Council Member Michael Stinziano, Puffin Foundation West and Greater Columbus Arts Council worked hard to wade through the paperwork and award Roger a Special Recognition as an outstanding artist from the City of Columbus.  Roger has more kudos coming his way, but we’re keeping it a secret for now.
