Partnering Booths – 2017

Each year Summer Jam West partners up with Hilltop local organizations that support our theme.  This year our theme is Movin’ & Groovin’ and we’re all about healthy activity.  All of our Partnering Booths support this theme and all have free activities for the kids.  They offer free programs and are very excited to share those with you.

Columbus Westside Running Club

CWRunClub is a free non-profit running/walking club whose mission is to improve community health and wellness through education, communication and encouragement.

They’re very active in the Hilltop community and have adopted the Camp Chase Trail for trash pick up.

Friends of Camp Chase Trail

Camp Chase Trail is a section of the Ohio to Erie Trail that runs from London to Columbus.  Friends of Camp Chase Trail promote this paved Ohio Greenway as a multi-use trail and actively advocate for trail improvements and usage.   Just east of N. Sylvan is where Summer Jam West will have the Movin’ & Groovin’ mural.

Urban Homesteading

Urban Homesteading is a lifestyle of self-sufficiency.  Self-sufficient living means learning to grow your own, make your own, sell your own, and bake your own.  This year, Urban Homesteading will be featuring a bicycle that will power a fan and/or light.  Get your Movin’ & Groovin’ on with a cycling workout!

Black Men Run

Their mission is to encourage health and wellness among African American men by promoting a culture of running/jogging to stay fit. We welcome runners of all skill levels to join us.  Run with them!

Hilltop YMCA

At the Hilltop YMCA, there’s a place for everyone, all year round.  This YMCA provides support for the Hilltop community — from homework help for youth, to exercise and company for older adults.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.  They offer a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls ages eight to thirteen years old.

Franklinton Cycle Works

Franklinton Cycle Works mission is to educate patrons about bicycle repair and maintenance, create a space and provide the means for people to maintain their bicycles, and foster values of community, environmental sustainability, and healthy living.

Monarch Watch

Monarch Watch of Ohio shows you that by creating and maintaining a Monarch Waystation you are contributing to monarch conservation, an effort that will help assure the preservation of the species and the continuation of the spectacular monarch migration phenomenon.

National Wildlife Federation

Anyone can create a welcoming haven for local wildlife. Turning your yard into a Certified Wildlife Habitat® is fun, easy and makes a big difference for neighborhood wildlife.  By adding pollinator and monarch friendly plants, you are replenishing much needed resources for pollinators.
