Summer Jam West is seeking an experienced muralist to paint an 59.5′ x 37′ wall. Your “canvas” will be the east facing wall located at 3058 W Broad St. (Third Way Cafe). The artwork should relate to this year’s theme: Pursuing Good Together. Applications are open until March 15, 2021 and the compensation will be $10,000.

- 25% paid one month prior to commencement

Criteria
- Individual artists may apply but collaboration between multiple artists is encouraged.
- Multiple submissions are allowed.
- Artist(s) must agree to use Nova mural paint. No other paint will be accepted. http://www.novacolorpaint.com
- The mural must reflect Summer Jam’s 2021 theme of “Pursuing Good Together”.
- The mural should focus on and promote our THEME, not serve as an advertisement billboard for Summer Jam West or Third Way Cafe.
- The mural must include:
- the words “Summer Jam West”
- our jam jar image
- a monarch butterfly
- a coffee reference (a nod to Third Way Cafe)
Additional Info
- The wall will be power washed prior to painting by individuals hired by Summer Jam West.
- Completed mural will be clear coated with an anti-graffiti coating by Summer Jam West.
- Summer Jam West is not responsible for lost or stolen materials. Please ensure you have a safe location to store your materials.
- Artist(s) must carry their own insurance and be responsible for all paint, painting supplies, scaffolds, etc.
- Artist(s) must supply proof of insurance and references for large murals.
- Muralist(s) must have strong roots to the city of Columbus.
