Peace Train – Justin Withrow
Justin Withrow’s “Peace Train” mural concept is bright, bold, and speaks loudly of what we need to hear and contemplate, on the Hilltop. Justin is a graffiti artist and he’s painted this “street style”. We know this style is something everyone of the Hilltop will appreciate.
The mural is painted on the 110′ wall, facing west and located at 2322 Sullivant Ave. (corner of Sullivant and Wheatland). The mural was completed just days prior to our 2019 festival.
The mural features a peace sign comprised of the words, “peace, love, live, create, health”; important elements in our everyday life. Our 2019 limited edition tees contain this design, along with the additional word, “music”.
As on all of our artists murals, don’t forget to look for hidden details.
We’d like to take time to thank Bible Way church for allowing us to have a go at making their building P-O-P! The pastor, the Elders and the Deacon all came out to help make the big decision.
Justin Withrow set up shop on the Hilltop. Check out Lookout Supplies in the old bowling alley just east of Wilson Rd. He’s very interesting to talk to and we know you’ll be struck by the professionalism of his shop.
Thank you Bates & Sons for doing an incredible job at a fair price in power washing the wall and clear coating it after the painting.
