Public Art

For the Common Good

Summer Jam West is much more than just a one day arts and music festival. We’re a year-round, tour de force art movement on the Hilltop. We call this movement “For the Common Good”, believing that everyone, regardless of income or address, is entitled to beauty and art. With the Hilltop being an “art desert” in the city of Columbus, our commitment to the Hilltop community is to commission one major public art installation each year, along with smaller public commissions throughout the year. We select only local artists for our competitions. We want to make the Hilltop a better place to live and work, and we believe that having access to art can lead to a better life.
